Greetings from PenguWIN:
While investing for the long term, adopting a disciplined and systematic approach to accumulating wealth is excellent. But what if you start late or come into excess funds through a bonus or gifts?
In cricket, playing steadily by accumulating singles and twos, with occasional boundaries, may be a good strategy. However, if you’re chasing a big score or aiming to set a mammoth target for the opponents, you need to hit more sixes and fours. When do you do this? If you plan well, you target the relatively weaker bowler and take him to task.
Similarly, financial markets provide good opportunities to deploy lump-sum investments (the amount varies by investor), and we have one such opportunity now. Trying to invest at the absolute lowest point is purely a matter of luck—no one can perfectly time the market. However, when markets are down by 13% or more in Large Caps (and even more in Mid Caps, Small Caps, or specific sectors), it’s essential to capitalize on such opportunities
